The Radeon RX 6000 Series Availability Worsens, Radeon RX 6700 XT and 6950 XT Totally Unavailable

The RDNA 3 lineup will soon disappear

One shouldn’t expect any more price drops for the RDNA 3 lineup and if you want to buy any of these cards, you should hurry because the rest of the available GPUs will soon disappear from the market.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 coming to an end: RX 6600, 6650 XT, and 6800 are also affected

It has been four years since the Radeon RX 6000 series’s first batch of GPUs hit the shelves. This RDNA 2-based lineup enjoyed quite good popularity among gamers and remained mostly available throughout the 2020-2024 time period except for some short periods. Even after the release of AMD’s RDNA 3-based RX 7000 series, the RX 6000 continued its dominance in the GPU market till today but unfortunately, it’s reaching its end.

If you have closely followed the pricing trends of every Radeon RX 6000 GPU, you will realize that not only have they gone higher than what they were a year ago but their availability has gone poor. Some GPUs have completely left the market, which includes the RX 6700 XT and the RX 6950 XT. This is true for both the EU and NA market at the time of writing.

3DCenter reports that the pricing and availability trends from Geizhals have shown that these two GPUs aren’t available from any European retailer, including Mindfactory, which is one of the biggest German-based PC hardware retail websites. Other GPUs such as RX 6800, and RX 6800 XT more expensive than before, matching their launch prices.

However, the Radeon RX 6600 and 6650 XT don’t seem to be affected noticeably, at least on Amazon. I have checked multiple retail websites for the NA region apart from the EU, where one can find both cards at around but there is a catch. While two RX 6600 editions still enjoy the top 10 best-selling GPUs listing on Amazon, most RX 6600 GPUs are pretty expensive on other NA retail websites, including Newegg, Best Buy, and Walmart, indicating an impact on availability.

The remaining inventory of the RX 6000 GPUs should be out of stock in a couple of months completely and as we move forward to the launch of the RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 8000 series GPUs, it could happen sooner.
