The Radeon RX 9070 XT Hellhound Brings the Iconic Hellhound logo on the Backplate and Blue Lighting on the Shroud
This is PowerColor’s second teaser of the upcoming Radeon RX 9070 XT. AMD board partners are fully ready to unveil their custom designs and the latest is the PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT Hellhound edition. Previously, the company teased the Radeon RX 9070 XT Red Devil edition two times, revealing the cooler design.
Speed of Light. The Hellhound is ready to strike. Can your game keep up with the speed of the Hellhound? – PowerColor
The Hellhound edition will be its more affordable option and will likely feature a triple-fan cooler as well. In the pic, you can see the Hellhound-themed backplate but with a large cutout at the edge, possibly because the heatsink is much larger than the circuit board. In the previous generation, the Hellhound edition of the RX 7900 GRE brought a smaller cutout.
There are some small changes to the backplate but also on the shroud if you can spot it. The right edge of the shroud exhibits LED lighting, which means that the RX 9070 XT Hellhound might bring the lighting on the shroud apart from the fans. The RX 7900 XT Hellhound features LED lighting just on the fans and the Hellhound logo at the back.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT will be the flagship AMD RDNA 4 GPU and custom editions like Radeon RX 9070 XT will probably feature a higher boost clock than the reference design. This means over 3.1 GHz of boost clock and a possible TDP increase. The reference edition is reported to bring 260W of TDP and custom editions are expected to exceed even 300W. More will be unveiled at CES, including detailed specs, features, and MSRP.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT features 16GB GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus and uses the Navi 48 die. It’s expected to be priced at around $600-$650 but this is all based on rumors. The worldwide shipment should start right this month but in China, the availability of this card will improve in February.
