Noctua’s huge fanless cooler leaks online

A leaked source confirms that Noctua has released a fanless cooler. It is currently being listed at Newegg.com (cached) with a price tag of 100$ that has been removed as of now.

This is not the first time we have seen a fanless CPU cooler. However, what makes this cooler unique is its design. In one word, this fanless CPU cooler is massive. According to the leaked information, the name of this CPU cooler is NH-P1.

Noctua has not yet disclosed any specification regarding this particular fanless CPU air cooler, however, according to the specification that was listed on the website, the Noctua NH-P1 offers:

  • Fanless heatsink for 100% silent cooling through natural convection (see setup guidelines & list of recommended cases) or semi-passive setups with virtually inaudible NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fan (optional)
  • 100% RAM compatibility on AMD AM4 and Intel LGA1200/115x, clears the top PCIe slot on most ATX and µATX motherboards
  • Professional, Torx-based SecuFirm2+ mounting system for Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA1200, LGA20xx (LGA2066, LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3) & AMD AM4, AM3(+), AM2(+), FM2(+), FM1
  • Further improved second-generation NT-H2 thermal compound for optimal overall cooling performance
  • Recommended for CPUs with low to moderate heat dissipation (see CPU compatibility list), e.g. Intel 9900K, 9700K, or AMD Ryzen 2700X, 3950X 3700X, 3400G, etc.

The Noctua NH-P1 comes equipped with six heat pipes and thick, widely spaced heatsink fins that help to keep modern high-end CPUs cool and with low to moderate heat dissipation completely passively. Many users prefer to have a silent setup at their disposal, and this CPU cooler can be one of the best they can get their hands on.

Furthermore, if anyone needs to have a bit more cooling than what the stock is currently offering then the user can outfit the NH-P1 with a low-speed, ultra-quiet 120mm fan such as the NF-A12x25 LS-PWM. It also comes with a Torx-based SecuFirm2+ mounting system, Noctua’s award-winning NT-H2 thermal compound, and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The Noctua NH-P1 might be the perfect CPU cooling component for those who want a super silent operation. As of now, we are eagerly waiting for official confirmation from Noctua.
