Next gen Intel NUC 12 mini PC to feature Alder Lake CPUs

There are many things that are on their way in this year and also in the upcoming year 2022. We have seen numerous leaks that give us information on upcoming products from different OEMs. We are also waiting to see the latest version of Windows OS this year itself.

Earlier today, another piece of information was shared by Twitter user 9550pro who discovered leaked information from a slide on Weibo forums. The slide revealed the NUC 12 Enthusiast models will feature Alder Lake i5 and i7 processors.

There is also a possibility that Intel will launch the i9 Alder Lake models later this year. Therefore, we can assume that the NUCs will be launching early next year probably 6-7 months after the release of the NUC 11.

The information revealed on the slide also gives us a sneak peek into the upcoming NUCs. The Alder Lake models will most likely feature Intel’s own DG2 (Xe-HPG) gaming GPUs along with 2x M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 plus 1x M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 slots that support Intel’s Optane Memory M10 and H10 modules. In terms of connectivity, it will offer a 2.5 Gb NIC and AX 411 Wi-Fi 6E module with Bluetooth 5.2.

However, the NUC 12 will only support 64 GB of DDR4-3200. In terms of I/O, users will get Thunderbolt 4 connectors with 5V/9V fast phone charging profiles, 6x USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 plus 2x USB 2.0 connectors, line-in and headset audio jacks, and an SD card reader with SDXC and UHS-II compliance.
