Intel alder Lake P

A few weeks back Intel released the powerful 12th gen Alder Lake processors for desktop that feature powerful processors such as Core i7 12700K with 12 cores/20 threads and Core i9 12900K hosting 16 cores/14 threads. Recently Intel’s Client Computing Group Executive Vice President & General Manager announced that Intel has achieved another great milestone.

Intel has now started shipping the Alder Lake mobile processors to laptop manufacturers. This means that the 12th gen Core processors on laptops are going to be available soon. The mobile processors include Alder Lake P and M processors, however, according to the reports, Intel is shipping the Alder Lake P processors that are more powerful than the M series.

While the P series feature a TDP of 15W up to 45W, the M series processors are more power-efficient featuring a TDP of up to 9W. Recently, benchmarks of Intel Core i7 12700H leaked online where it shows that this chip has dominated the Apple M1 Max and AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX in Cinebench.

Intel is also preparing its 14th gen Meteor Lake processors and has confirmed its design which shows that it will feature triple dies. While the Alder Lake processors are expected to take a big chunk of CPU share as per their performance, Intel is ready for its next big move next year with the Meteor Lake processors.
