Everyone is aware of the pandemic crisis for the last two years. It affected everyone’s life and also every industry. The IT industry was the worst affected due to the pandemic crisis. The global shortage of chips also made the situation tougher.

The pandemic situation leads to call for work from home. But doing so, most are in need of having proper hardware equipment in order to perform their daily essential needs. Therefore, somehow the requirement for computer hardware components is on the rise.

IDC recently released data for the Quarterly PC Monitor Tracker that reveals worldwide shipments were just over 35 million units in the second quarter of 2021. It is an overall increase of 11.2%, compared to the same time last year.

However, due to the restraining of supply shipments, there are certain challenges faced by the OEMs in terms of production. According to the shared data, it seems continues Dell stands in the top of 2021 worldwide PC monitor shipments with over 7,549,000 million units sold in Q2 2021.

Lenovo is the second on the list followed by others. However, the difference between them is quite significant. It is also predicted that the shipment will increase in the coming time ahead with the ease in restriction of lockdown and also the increase in production of components.

But it is also quite possible that in the coming days when everything will settle down, the hike in requirement will also reduce stabilizing everything by 2025.
