ASRock Debuts Two 27-inch High Refresh Rate IPS Displays in Phantom Gaming Lineup, Featuring HDR Support and Wide Color Gamut
One of the popular hardware makers, ASRock, has today announced two new high-end displays for enthusiast gamers. These are the PG27FFX2A and PG27FFX1B gaming monitors, bringing a super-high refresh rate of “520Hz” to compete against the top-end models from other vendors.
Unlike most high refresh rate monitors, both gaming monitors bring IPS panels instead of VA and TN, ensuring superior visual quality and excellent viewing angles. Coupled with a 520Hz refresh rate, these monitors can provide high fluidity in gameplay, ensuring a pleasant gaming experience for serious and professional gamers.
From high-fidelity visuals to modern connectivity, the new Phantom Gaming IPS monitors deliver everything enthusiasts need for immersive gameplay and convenience. Currently, 520Hz is one of the highest refresh rates one can have on gaming monitors and delivers almost 3.5x higher fluidity than 144Hz displays.
The 520Hz refresh rate takes gaming to an entirely new level, delivering an astounding 520 frames per second for ultra-smooth motion with zero tearing or lag. This not only ensures faster visual response but also provides gamers with a critical advantage, allowing them to capture every subtle movement in real time and stay one step ahead in both vision and action.

The PG27FFX2A is the flagship model in the Phantom Gaming series, featuring a 27-inch display with 1920x1080p resolution. With 1ms of GtG response time, the monitor can quickly transition to the next frame, and through AMD FreeSync Premium technology, it can eliminate screen tears in fast-paced visuals. With 94% DCI-P3 and 123% sRGB color spaces, it can reproduce vibrant colors and with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, the details become more vivid.
The second monitor is the PG27FFX1B, which brings identical specifications such as screen size, panel, resolution, refresh rate, and response time. There are a few differences between the two. The PG27FFX2A brings a built-in WiFi 7 adapter and an ergonomic design for easier adjustments like swivel, tilt, pivot, and height adjustments, which the second model misses. With these additional features, it will be a bit costlier than the second model but the core specifications on both remain identical.
Both monitors offer good connectivity features, including 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B, and 1x headphone jack for audio. Equipped with Flicker-Free and ASRock Low Blue Light technologies, these monitors take care of your eyes by reducing eye strain and letting you play for several hours straight.
The price and availability aren’t disclosed but since ASRock is now hosting both products live on their website, expect them to hit the retail stores soon.
