It has been 25 years since the first NVIDIA GPU was launched and to celebrate the long journey of graphics cards and gaming, NVIDIA is conducting #GeForceGreats, allowing gamers to get a chance to get free GPUs.
NVIDIA #GeForceGreats will end on January 6th, the same time when it is announcing the RTX 50 series at CES 2025
The CES 2025 is around the corner and with less than a month remaining, NVIDIA has started to hype the launch of its next-gen GeForce graphics cards. While it didn’t explicitly reveal or announce anything related to the GeForce RTX 50 series, there are hints that indicate the overlapping of the GPU release and the #GeForceGreats event.
On multiple social media accounts as well as on its official website, NVIDIA has announced that to celebrate 25 years of NVIDIA GPUs and gaming, it is conducting the #GeForceGreats program. This is a way NVIDIA wants to reward gamers with prizes when they enter the competition.

Join us on a fun, prize-filled adventure as we honor the games, hardware, and culture that defined two-and-a-half decades of fun.

The competition will be conducted through 6th January and the winners will receive ‘Mystery Boxes‘ which will contain NVIDIA’s best graphics cards with a ‘nostalgic’ twist. In the image, we can see that these mystery boxes are based on game themes such as Alan Wake, Doom, Half-Life, and others. In order to participate in the competition, NVIDIA has listed the following requirements:
- Follow GeForce, GeForce Now, Studio, and AI PC social channels
- Lookout for Key Prompts and Instructions
- When prompted, use #GeForceGreats across NVIDIA posts through January 6th
It’s clear that NVIDIA is hyping the event for CES 2025, where it will announce the Blackwell RTX 50 series GPUs, including the RTX 5090 and 5080. Users who engage more will increase their GeForce Hyper Meter, enhancing their chances of winning the prizes. Plus, the GeForce LAN is going to be conducted for gamers, publishers, and partners around the globe. It will be a 50-hour gaming marathon, followed by the prizes.
One can attend it either online or can get to their local GeForce LAN in Las Vegas, Berlin, Taipei, and Beijing. The event will officially start on January 4th at 4:30 pm PT.
