A few days ago, Asus announced that the company is going to make its new handheld console ROG Ally available worldwide but there were still a few things missing, one of which is the custom APU specifications.

While we already knew from various reports that the console is going to feature a custom Ryzen APU based on the Zen 4 architecture, the exact model of the CPU was still unknown until today when the official specs of the console are available at certification offices.

Asus ROG Specs leak

As reported by Videocardz, ROG Ally will feature a Ryzen 7 7840U APU that is based on Zen 4 architecture and features RDNA 3 based Radeon 780M GPU. This is the same iGPU that competes with some of the best budget graphics cards.

The APU features 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at a base clock of 3.3GHz. As for the iGPU, the 780M will feature 12 Compute Units. ROG Ally will boast a 7″ 120Hz display with a resolution of 1920x1080p.

It’s speculated that the console will launch at somewhere around $650 and will perform twice as good as the Steam Deck which has a base model starting at $399.

While this is just the rumored pricing, we still await the official confirmation from Asus.
